SHINY DICE
Ah, dice chucking. We love a bit of that, especially as they tumble across those neoprene mats that lots of publishers (and certainly Upper Deck) are fond of these days. Shiny Dice looks really nice, featuring stills from the show and other original artwork too, alongside some nice graphical design elements. So, you roll the dice, 'lock' them into their respective crew, ship or villain slots - and then start assigning and following actions. It's then a push-your-luck style affair, whereby you can choose to bank the credits earned so far - or risk pushing on (Keep Flyin') and trying for more. It plays pretty quickly and we like it a lot. It's very portable too, so great for conventions.
As mentioned on the introduction page, we're not going to be completing detailed reviews of any Firefly related games, as there are loads of great ones out there already. Instead, we've tried to be helpful to both potential buyers and existing owners of this game.
We've got links to online reviews, helpful guides and other downloads that add to the gaming experience. Plus, there's also a really great 'how to play' video from one of our YouTube faves. Finally, to join the reviewing scene briefly, here are a few thoughts from us:
- Number of players: 1-5
- Favourite bits: Those custom dice. Lovely. And the cards with Alliance credits on them are fantastic too.
- We say: Best suited as a 2-3 player game, or solo really. Otherwise it takes too long with a lot of downtime.
- Anything else: Be sure to use latest rule order that says you reveal your Mission card BEFORE rolling. Much more fun.
- Browncoat rating: 7.0

WHERE TO BUY IT
We sometimes have copies for sale at trade shows (and occasionally in our store) and you may well see it at your Friendly Local Game Store. But, for all things Firefly, we tend to find that Amazon is often the cheapest place to get things from in our opinion.
So, if you'd like to help us to keep on doing what we do, as well as support our charities - please consider clicking on the links below and purchasing directly. We'll get a few pennies towards our mission - and you'll get your game. We've added links for the UK and US versions of Amazon, depending on preference. We are so grateful to anyone who supports us and our charities in this way. You rock.
